An outdoor umbrella cover is easy to buy and hard to buy well — a closed cantilever umbrella is a tall, lopsided shape that generic sleeves never quite manage, which is why they tear at the top and gape at the bottom. We pattern umbrella covers from your actual umbrella, so the cover slides on cleanly, closes properly and keeps a Shade7 or any other quality umbrella out of the weather between uses.
The same goes for everything the catalogue doesn’t cover: L-shaped corner suites, hanging egg chairs, squabs and cushions, barbecues, spa steps, machinery — we can cover just about anything. Each cover is made to measure in our Pirongia workshop from PVC or acrylic canvas, high-quality UV-resistant material that’s also waterproof. And it’s one team from start to finish: the people who measure the piece are the people who make and fit the cover, so an odd shape is a pattern-making exercise for us, not a compromise for you.

Measure the awkward thing
Closed umbrella with a cantilever arm, L-shaped corner suite, hanging egg chair — we measure it as it stands and pattern a cover around the actual shape, zips and openings included where they help.
Make it in Pirongia
Your cover is cut and sewn in our own Waikato workshop from waterproof, UV-resistant PVC or acrylic canvas — the same materials we use for covers that live outside all year round.
Fit it and prove it
We fit the finished cover ourselves and make sure it goes on and off the way you'd actually use it — because the people who measured and made it are the ones standing next to it.

How much does a custom umbrella or odd-shape cover cost?
It depends on the size and shape of what you're covering and the fabric that suits it. We measure the piece, talk through the options and give you a fixed, no-obligation quote — the free measure is how we keep the price accurate.
Can you make a cover for a cantilever umbrella?
Yes. Cantilever umbrellas are one of the shapes off-the-shelf covers handle worst, because the arm and base get in the way. We pattern the cover around your umbrella closed in its usual position, arm and all.
Do you cover egg chairs, L-shaped suites, squabs and cushions?
Yes — if it lives outside, we can almost certainly cover it. Hanging egg chairs, L-shaped corner couches, boat squabs, window-seat cushions and one-off shapes are exactly the work our custom cover service exists for.
