Turn your Hamilton alfresco area into a room for every season

Walk through any of Hamilton's newer suburbs and you'll see the same thing: beautiful covered alfresco areas, built for indoor-outdoor living, standing empty from May to October because they're open on one or two sides. All the roof in the world doesn't help when a cold southerly is blowing straight through your outdoor dining space.

Outdoor blinds fix exactly that. Ziptrak's track-guided system glides down within side tracks, stops at any height you like, and locks in the down position — no zippers, ropes or pulleys. Choose clear or tinted PVC to keep wind and rain out while keeping the view, or mesh solar fabric where you want UV protection with airflow. For hospitality spaces, our cafe-style patio blinds do the same job for courtyards and street frontages. Every install starts with a visit from our team, based in Pirongia just down the road.

Outdoor blinds for how Hamilton actually lives

Much of our Hamilton blind work is in the newer subdivisions — Rototuna, Flagstaff, Peacocke — where the alfresco area came with the house but the weather protection didn't. These spaces are ideal candidates for Ziptrak: clean modern openings, straight spans, and joinery the slim side tracks sit neatly against. Lower the blinds and a three-season space becomes a genuine extra room, warmer in winter and shaded in summer.

Character homes get a different conversation. A veranda on a Hamilton East or Claudelands villa has its own proportions, and we design around them — fabric colours that sit well with timber weatherboards, and track placement that doesn't fight the original detailing.

We also fit out commercial spaces across the city. Cafe blinds let Hamilton hospitality venues keep courtyard tables trading through winter, and the taut, flat surface of a Ziptrak blind even doubles as a spot for corporate signage. Whatever the building, the process is the same: we measure, recommend, and quote — then install it properly.

Why Hamilton locals get their blinds from us

A local team, not a franchise

We're based in Pirongia, about half an hour from central Hamilton. The people who measure your openings are the people who install the blinds and stand behind them.

The right blind for each opening

Ziptrak track-guided blinds where you want premium, effortless operation; cafe-style blinds where they make better sense. We recommend what suits the space, not one product for everything.

Made for real weather

Quality fabrics and materials chosen for strength and wind resistance, with blinds that lock in the down position — so a Waikato winter blast doesn't end the evening.

Outdoor Blinds in Hamiltonquestions

My new build has a covered alfresco area that's open on two sides — can you enclose it?

Yes — this is one of the most common jobs we do in Hamilton's newer suburbs. Ziptrak blinds run in slim side tracks fitted to your existing posts or joinery, sealing the open sides while still retracting completely out of sight when you want the space open. Clear PVC keeps the outlook; mesh keeps airflow.

Do you install outdoor blinds across all of Hamilton?

We do — from Rototuna, Flagstaff and Chartwell through to Hamilton East, Hillcrest, Glenview and Peacocke, plus the lifestyle blocks on the city fringe. Our workshop is in Pirongia, around 30 minutes away, so a site visit is easy to arrange.

What's the difference between Ziptrak blinds and cafe blinds?

Ziptrak is a track-guided system — the blind glides within side tracks, stops at any height and locks down with no zips or buckles, which makes it the premium choice for home patios and alfresco areas. Cafe-style patio blinds use tension membrane PVC with heavy-duty nylon zips, and suit courtyards and hospitality frontages well. We supply and install both, and we'll recommend the right fit at the measure.

Can I get motorised outdoor blinds?

Yes — Ziptrak blinds come in manual or motorised operation. The manual system is spring-balanced and genuinely easy to use, but motorisation is a popular upgrade for wide spans or for lowering several blinds at once when the weather turns.
